more running of the Seidel 770 70cc seven cylinder radial engine with the custom built scale exhausts for a 1:5.6 scale Hawker Sea Fury. With the cowl on, all you will see is the 9 exhaust stubs on each side. When finished it should not only look scale but sound scale. The video does not do the sound justice - in the flesh it it much deeper and richer, and especially at idle sounds just like a "big" engine...

  • Guys, there is a company in the USA that is starting to machine Radials 9 and 14 cylinders and a V-12. The Radial 9 with 90 cc it will be for sale in September, follows the 14 cylinder and V-12. They're also converting the engines to GASOLINE. Just check AUTHENTICSCALE COM under Exotic Scale Engines. The ones on the left are TOTALLY CNC MACHINED (No castings or forgings like Seidel or Moki). The price it is a bit LOWER than Seidel. They also will offer several displacements for each model

  • @scale1224 - those engines look awesome! Especially those scale engines.

  • Awesome manifold jamesjohnoneill

  • Did you craft the manifold?

    Incredible job in the scale.

Would you call this a perfect model of the PW985?

  • Yes James, the Radial 9 90cc will go into production in August, a batch of 20 units, available in September (should nothing change). Maybe the Radial 14 97cc will up & running in October for the Chicago Hobby Show (21-24?). This Seidel sounds great!!! There will be great dogfights out there for sure.

  • Very nice and incredible sound, I saw this motor here at hobbyking websiteV

  • I am waiting for my SAYDEL, from Hobby King.....they already have my money....and back ordered.....They are waiting on UMS or Saydel....to get the engines out....Appears that they even mess with the main hobby distributers....they most likely have to MAKE the engines....I may cancell my order on it...being I have a SAITO 5-=cyl.....Recieved that one in 3-days!!

I am getting upset at HObby KIng.... or Siedel ect.. ect....

  • Advantage hobby is having a sale on there saito engines....they have them instock....the 5-cyl radial 52cc engine for 1450$USD..... normally 2000$ usd!...

End this month....sale on ALL saito's....

Great deals on the multicyl.... engines...

No issues with this place... aswome service..

  • Same here too; ordered april last year, got message in june; "everything ready for shipment, please pay" and I did.....

Had to wait over 2 month for the engine and still waiting for the ringsilencer....

I found out too late but this company is doing this trick for many many years now...

    Seidel ? never again!

  • I don't think so, I was dealing directly with Seidel in Germany. If they have had problems with their supplier or subcontractor then they should at least have told me that they were having problems and there would be a delay. I would have understood and could have planned around a delay.

All they have had to do is actually contact me sometime in the last four months!!
