Les Petits Chanteurs & Chamber Ensemble

Les Petits Chanteurs (The Little Singers), the renowned boys choir of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Cathedral Music School of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, accompanied by a string ensemble from the Holy Trinity Philharmonic Orchestra, appeared Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Austin, Texas.

The Holy Trinity Cathedral complex was completely destroyed in the earthquake on January 12, 2010.  Before the earthquake, the Cathedral's Music School served more than 1000 students. This tour focused awareness on the rich musical traditions of Haiti, and the need to support the rebuilding of the Holy Trinity Music School.  The School is the only one of its kind in the country and depends on charitable support to sustain its mission of education and music training for children and young adults.

Donated musical instruments were collected to replace those lost in the earthquake, as well as checks made out to "All Saints' Episcopal Church" (put "Haiti Choir" in the Memo Line), 209 W. 27th St., Austin, TX, 78705. All proceeds will go to The Holy Trinity Cathedral, Port-
au-Prince, Haiti.
