i'm pretty well convinced that Memphis is a Mecca of sorts of genius. of various artistic disciplines. Fry. Nix. Bell. Chilton. Eggleston. to name a few. what wonderful, passionate people. i visited Ardent last year, and Daniel Russo graciously gave me the nickel tour. as an added bonus, i met Jody Stephens. what a thrill. just good people...

watching John Fry here is just amazing for me. he really respected Chris' work obviously. Further reading tells me how young John was at the time but he really knew what he was doing. His tiny studio was well known throughout the south as the most technologically advanced, and John was a master of that technology. Kudos, John, for several of my favorite records ever. They sound like they were recorded just yesterday.

This song must be used by a GREAT Director( Scorcese per esampio) in a pivotal scene some day , and thus be DISCOVERED by the masses ! I believe this !
