The whole video is a dream, basically
Story's past: Cloud had grown up with Yuna, they were childhood friends. The night before she was to become a summoner, he brought her to their secret place, the spring. There he confesses his deepest feelings for her and kissed her not allowing her to say anything just yet. To his surprise, she returned the loving kiss he gave to her, giving him the answer he wanted to have so desperately. But she told him she had to do this for her people after wards, he only agreed on the condition she make him her guardian. The next day she announced that he was now her guardian. Everything went well on her journey, due to his protection, but in the last battle... She had summoned the last aeon before Cloud could stop her, and she died after defeating the creature, Sin.
Story's present: Cloud still dreams of her, every night and sees her wherever he goes... But she's always smiling.
