  • @uesue

  • @Schmidt54 i hope that to:) i saw that on news, about the president of Germany:)

  • @EmyY2J That sounds horrible! :-( I hope that gets better with time. Funny, Diesel in Germany is tax-favoured so it costs less than regular. But "less" is still expensive, like

Politicians everywhere are corrupt. Here in Germany the corruption is subtle and often harmless. But because of "subtle" corruption our head of state is being re-elected right now (Wulff was his name) after he had to resign. The media tore him apart because obviously we have no real problems to deal with... :-(

  • @Schmidt54 we pay expesive road taxes to, but they don`t care about the roads...the politicians are verry corrupt here, the gas is expesive to, the price of regular diesel its 1.69 euro and regular gasoline its 1.63 euro...the most expensive fuel is up to 1.76 if you belive that :|

  • @EmyY2J It really is fun. Road quality in Germany can only be maintained because there is a lot of tax money pumped into it. Owning a car in Germany is expensive, so the roads better be good.

In some cities though the asphalt after a hard winter can be so broken that one has to do a slalom around them, because the asphalt was just placed on top of old cobblestone roads.

Anyway gas is so expensive here (almost 1,70 € for 1 litre regular gas!) driving fast is also driving expensive.

  • @Schmidt54 thats nice...i belive that is a joy for you, here where i live there are less good roads where you can floor it...and even if, you have to use the middle side of the road to avoid the holes...but still the road is full of bumps, and is dangerous to drive with high speed cuz you can loose control of ur car.

  • @EmyY2J In Germany the Autobahns are CONSTANTLY repaired (which is why like 30% of them are jammed and you can count yourself lucky if you can go like 100 km/h) so it is safe to drive as fast as you want. But in fact, most parts of the Autobahns are restricted wih like 120 km/h and only some parts are free to go - most notably the "A3", I have the joy of using it every day and it is just fun to go pedal to the metal.
