Polar - A Gatestone Story

Fitness, Wellness, and Polar Technology is a testimonial of how Gatestone Elementary School (stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada) has been utilizing Polar Technology in their new physical education classes. Polar has allowed Gatestone to become pro-active in the education of fitness and wellness, and teaching the students to be pro-active in their own lives when it comes to being active and leading a healthy lifestyle. Gatestone physical education instructor Mark Verbeek speaks about the changes and improvements he has observed since the introduction of the Heart Rate Coach into the classroom. Gatestone has seen an increase in classroom attendance, and participation in school athletic programs. Above all, the program is effectively battling the rising child obesity rates observed throughout North America.

The goal of this video is to inspire other educational institutions to improve their physical education programs and guide the generations of tomorrow to a more active and healthier lifestyle.
