Im Filipino born and raised in Oahu Hawaii just wanna point out to other Filipinos out there that we are still Filipinos even though we were born and raised here in Hawaii and it just makes me a bit upset when others think were all of a sudden wanna be Hawaiians,were not and were not claiming to be.Hawaii is our "Host" country/state.Yes Philippines is beautiful,Ive been there...

You left out one important fact: the vast majority of the Filipino community in Hawaii is Ilocano. And you didn't mention Ben Cayetano, the first Fil-Am governor in US history. A shining example of our success. To quote Joe Biden: "That's a big f--- deal."
I like what you said about the previous generation sacrificing to make life better for the next generation. I think most of the kids forget that and take it for granted.
