A chiropractor and an organic farmer. Hmm. Sounds like anti-corporate anecdotal evidence being told to the masses by a man who has a lot to gain financially if people believe this stuff. Youtube is not a good place to get your science people, read some peer reviewed journals.

What if one if battling high cholesterol and tryglycerides? I have been using rice milk fortified with calcium. Would raw whole milk raise my cholesterol levels?

@TheMinistryOfDefense Sorry, but the magical end-all-be-all argument of "It's natural!" doesn't work in the realms of science or fact. It is a fact that pasteurization kills nearly all pre-existing and introduced bacteria in milk. It is a fact that people have died due to diseases contracted from unsafe "raw" milk. It is a fact that pasteurization is directly responsible for the prevention of, at the very least, tens of thousands of deaths, and even more illnesses, annually.

Now you know something deceptive is going on. And if you do
some research you will find no E. Coli can exisit in raw milk,
because raw milk kills all viruses and "bad baterias" Nature's
way of protecting the new born.

@thecorporatebum Sure milk can be potentially dangerous but it's no different than peanut butter or spinach or eggs, etc. The only difference is I know where my milk comes from and I can verify that the cows are healthy where as with eggs and peanut butter, there's no way to check. I understand your concern and appreciate your input but I think you should check and see what's in pasteurized milk because pasteurized milk can also be potential harmful. Growth hormones, antibiotics, MSG, etc...

@socceric17 Cows are ruminants, they require a very different variety of gut microflora compared to humans. Certainly you can make yogurt out of your spoiled milk if it only contains Lactobacillus. If it contains pathogenic E. coli however, you may not want to eat that yogurt. You have to at least admit that milk can be potentially very harmful. I am not in the camp that says raw milk should be illegal but I do believe a well informed opinion rather than a holistic outlook is essential.
Fortunately - what we are talking about and producing is beyond "organics" as that system allows for an unhealthy grain-based (and worse) diet for animals whose natural diet is in the pasture. Once again there are two milks and we are talking about the the one that is intended for people rather than pasteurization. It's literally two different worlds!

Would you reccomend getting the whole or skim milk from organic pastures?

Whole milk, always! The fat is essential for protein and mineral absorption. The "low-fat" fad is based on myth. The body must have good fats and the fat in whole raw milk from healthy grass-fed cows is an excellent source of good fat. If there is any concern about digesting cow's milk then by all means go for the goat milk! GM has smaller protein molecules & therefore easier to digest for those with compromised digestion.
