"Fractale" is an anime directed by Yamamoto Yutaka.

吹奏楽のための『フラクタル組曲』第1楽章／鹿野草平
「フラクタル」は、映画『私の優しくない先輩』の監督、『涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱』の演出家を務めた山本 寛さんが贈る冒険ファンタジー作品。
劇中の音楽は、2010年度吹奏楽コンクール課題曲「吹奏楽のためのスケルツォ第2番《夏》」の作曲者である
鹿野 草平さんが起用されています。

本編中ではオーケストラによって演奏されたバージョンが使用されていますが、大の吹奏楽好きとして知られる
山本寛さんの「ぜひ吹奏楽版を！」という声によって、このたび吹奏楽版も録音されることになりました。

Well, I watched Fractale when it was airing and I liked it but really, it's not much past mediocre.

Sure, it's nice, but faaaar from a masterpiece. The soundtrack is great, though.
