  • This series is one of the most authentic and thoughtprovoking bbc dramas I have ever seen. I never forgot it... all actors are brilliant, the script in its depth & ease outstanding. Simply timeless... thanks so much for bringing it back!!!

  • Why on earth does no one tell Warleggan to get knotted? Charles owes him nothing, it's so frustrating to see him let himself get backed into a corner. What's wrong with "yes I'm sorry, I would have sold you the mine but it's not mine to sell. Go and talk to Ross if you're still interested... Mrs Tabb, please show him out..."

  • @hedonistic2008 Yes. He came back from the Americas from fighting on the British side during the Revolutionary War.

  • In this time a woman wouldn't break her word like this and a man wouldn't do this to his cousin! How disrespectful. He was the one that left and took those chances. I don't like him. He said he knew some things would be changed but he's plowing on as though nothing has. And to dismiss his cousin like that is wrong. "I don't want to talk about it anymore." Rubbish! / This is why you don't do business, ever, with realitives.

  • Winston Graham was a great author-what characters he created. Robin Ellis and all the cast is so wonderful right to the end. It reminds me of I, Claudius. Where every actor is so watchable and great.

  • A perfect time for a Full Audit of all assets and liabilities. Daylight will begin the cure of theft and underhanded dealings. And any positive assets can build a new Prison cell for the theives.

  • my dad had the books, discovered this its brilliant ....showing my girlfriend. nice to watch a film with no cgi real script ...the way they speak is beautiful.

  • what century is this? 18th?

  • @813Ellen Agreed! I love these things also.

  • I remember as a young girl watching this series with my Mum and Dad (God rest their souls). Round about that time too remember watching the Onedin Line and Upstairs Downstairs. They don't make series like this anymore. Sincere thanks brought back wonderful memories. I wonder what Robin Ellis is doing now. Thank you for uploading.

  • my all time favourite show. i was too young to appreciate it when it first aired but i watch the entire thing at least once a month, and have done for about 15 years! can't get enough!! thanks for posting this! :-)
