What a joy it must be to make great music, and actually have people appreciate it. Been a Trucks fan for years, his bands are probably the closest you can come these days to the old jazz bands...maybe not the sound (sometimes yes), but the spirit...its all about the music and total freedom within it.

Hands down the best player living.... With or without the slide.... Check out "For My Brother" from DTB's Live At The Georgia Theater..... I couldn't argue against him being the best player of all-time....

Dave Berry? Did you mean Dave Murray? And what is all this "best" bullshit, anyway? With players at the level of Gary Moore (R.I.P.), Bonamassa, etc., it's only a matter of taste or what you're in the mood for. Having said that, the player I'm most often (always) in the mood for is the one and only Uli Jon Roth. He is the Mozart of modern times and while he plays Hendrix better than anyone I've ever heard, his original material is at another level altogether; a true virtuoso genius in every way.

Every time I listen to this I get goose bumps , she has the most soulful & exciting voice on the current music scene. Hopefully she will stand the test of time & be

included as one of the all time greatest of this genre.

I agree with the comments about Joe B, but greatest guitarists, not even close. What about Adrian Smith & Dave Berry, Dave Gilmour, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Angus Young, Gary Moore Yngwe Malmsteen, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and I could go on to name a few who make DT who is great, still look like an amateur.

You know me Bro. I'm going JoeB any day. Trucks is a great player but nowhere near JoeB for my money. Great sound and style tho.

Wrong answer! He is very very good but still a slide player! Best living guitar player? that is really impossible to define!! He is not as good a player as Joe Bonamassa, who is great with any guitar in his hand, electric or accoustic!!
