This is a memorial for Mallory Lee Homer who was a victim of a drunk driver crash on December 27, 2006. On that day, the life of a once vibrant, beautiful 10 year old girl was extinguished. It was not by natural causes, nor was it by some act of God. Her life was cut short by the actions of her negligent parents, who forced her into a car after a night of heavy partying. Mallory's only fault that day was that she had no other choice but to enter that vehicle with her intoxicated parents. Several newspaper article stated that there where prior warning signs of abuse, including her father's arrest several months earlier for domestic battery. It has been over a year, and Mallory's father, the driver of the vehicle, has not been formally charged. The Bradford County Sheriff's Department has not even completed the toxicology test. Child Endangerment Charges are also being investigated against Mallory's mother, but have yet to been charged by the Florida Sheriff's Department. It is time that we, as parents, get MADD and press the State of Florida to charge the parents for the Vehicular Homicide and Manslaughter of their beautiful, innocent daughter Mallory. The "Justice for Mallory" Foundation was developed in hope of pushing the prosecutors and legislators of the State of Florida to hold all parents accountable for crimes they commit against their children.
