people stop bitchin... pocahontas was the first native american princes not american princess cuz in the film it was based in unmarked territory not named america yet... shyt! 2nd! pocahontas was brown but she wasnt african american so chillax. ya getting madd for no reason. lol

Just because Princess and the Frog was released in 2009, you think Tiana isn't a true princess... so what's you're thoughts on Rapunzel, is she not considered a true princess?

To say that Princess Tiana was the first Disney American Princess is inaccurate. Pocahontas was the First Disney American Princess as well as the First Native American Princess at that. I have nothing against Anika being the voice of First African American Princess but to have her honoured before Irene Bedard and the great Judy Kuhn for the voices of Pocahontas doesn't seem right, does it?
