Hamster swimming

Yeah due to comments on my last vid, and since I still couldn't find the raft, I put three towels in the deepest area to make an island but that kinda tool the swimming out of this but holly is kinda old ( 2 yrs ) and I think that was good enough to swim in.

Hamsters do not swim out of choice and should not be put in water for your enjoyment. Hamsters that get wet can easily catch pneumonia and die. I have heard of cases of Hamsters catching cold and getting respiratory infections if the get wet from their Water bottles. Additionally putting in water like that can strip a hamsters skin and fur of oils that it needs to remain healthy. Before you do stupid things like this with your pet read a book by a respected authority on that animal.

@gullreefclub *facepalm* you might be saying all this, but guess what? out of all the times I've done this, get ready for this, none of that shit happened. And I have read 10+ books on hamsters. by the way, she died by cancer. Let me guess, next your going to say letting your hamster swims causes cancer.

@PedroThePie For over 20 years I had Rodents as pets and also breed Hamsters, and Chinchillas the only type of Bath they need unless a very rare reasons is a Sand Bath. After falling or crushing the top reasons for a Hamster to die is Wet Tail, Tumors\ Cancer, Respiratory Infection, Stress, and Old Age. If you would google Hamster bath sand you will find a number of web pages that will agree with what I am saying. The reason Hamsters can get chilled easily is due to their high metabolic rate

@gullreefclub I have three hamster baths and I use water baths too, though I usally use the sand baths.

@ihatejinny99 yeah, I did that cause on my other vid, there were so many comments yelling saying that "this is cruel!!!" and stuff, and plus the fact she was old, I put in a little "island" for her.

Hamsters shouldn´t be put into water at all! They clean their fur within sandbaths!!! If you like to get information about hamster care, watch my vids on my channel. I like to get comments!

@MisGrudge just to say, she trys to get out even if theres no water in the sink, but at this point poor hammie is right, while bringing her outside, she got two really bad bacteria in her ear and now its all swollen, infected and itchy, even with the help of medicine )-:
