These days they can't be subtle, it must be all EPIC and LOUD, and very contrasty, so you are bound to get also quiet moments.

But heaps and heaps of musical lands have been abandoned.

As epic as the other Diablo games were, their music was never "epic". It was AMAZING, but not "epic" like this, which saddens me a little. The music was nicely juxtaposed against the harsh, demonic wilderness, yet suited it perfectly. Now I feel like the music has just jumped on the bandwagon and lost some of that original magic.

although i do like this music for diablo, i do hope they bring back some of the old style of music... They shared styles with the first and second one... i hope they dont forget to in this one

Especially considering that in the beta at the moment this is one of I think three different tracks that can play while in the pre-game menus, the others of which are in fact more subtle.

@TheGrandBrand I've always thought of the Tristram theme as Diablo's real main theme, anyway. That's what people hear when they think Diablo. I dunno. To me this carries little more weight than the track that played at Doom's opening menu.
