    "don't want to go any further down so the bicep does the work and the weight doesn't go into the rotator cuff".........

    the biceps are flexors not extenders so as you come up they shouldn't be doing any/minimal work. Another thing is that you let your scapula's wing and unless that was intentional it really is poor muscle control.

  • Thanks. This is important stuff to consider. I see a lot of people putting a lot of undo stress on their shoulders in this pose.
