This is the opening to Doctor in Charge, a hit British comedy from 1974. It is a sequel to Doctor in the House. Many episodes of this show were written by Graham Chapman of Monty Python. The show ran 2 seasons and has 47 episodes available. Drop me a line if you remember this show.

  • Yeah, I remember. Very funny !

  • @TheHarecat RIP Barry Evans funny how these people just vanish,I remember him as Mr Brown in mind your laungage, then he ends up a taxi driver, just shows how things change.

  • @TheHarecat Robin Nedwell must have been having an off day when I saw him at a fete near my home in the late seventies.A lady ran up to him for a quick autograph just before he was to do an it's a Knockout type thing and he just curtly said 'No!'.The humiliation she must have felt as she had to quickly go back to her friends in front of everyone. He could just have said that he'd be happy to do it a bit later for her.and spare her blushes. He spent the rest of the afternoon in the beer tent!

  • This was actually 1972-73, not 74.

  • Did they ever try to adapt this in America?

  • sunday nights at 7 15 never mised this great comedy series from lwt music is so brilliant brings back so many 70s memories

  • RIP Robin Nedwell

  • out side shots in this were filmed in Wanstead hospital in London E11.....I worked at the local chippy and they came for food on occasions and even filmed a short sequence inside the shop in about 1971.......

  • OMG used to love this - every Sunday night! I was only 5! Wouldn't let my kids see stuff like this now!

  • Great! This always my favourite sequel
