  • I've been playing for about 10 months now, know several scales, but i just can't remember the tones... I have to think to be able to tell which tones I'm playing... Is there a way of learning them, sort of easier? :)

  • Close your eyes when you play the mode(i.e. Major[ionian], Dorian, Phrygian, lydian, Myxolydian, Minor[Aeolian], Locrian) and focus on the tone. Do it slowly until you can build it up. At first you won't hear much of a difference between the tones but later you'll start hearing it. You have to get used to playing all 7 positions before you start hearing the difference and before you can use those modes effectively. Be patient and it will come. Good luck.

  • hur left handed man
