Those old commercials really take me back. I haven't seen a cigarette commercial in years. I well remember when they were regularly shown on tv. I'm getting old, I guess.
Jack Burns was a very funny guy. He teamed with George Carlin very early in both their careers and even cut an album which was later called 'Killer Carlin' (taking advantage of Carlin's later popularity. That wasn't the original title of the album - I forget what it was now). Avery Schreiber went on to becaome a cameo actor and also appeared on several game shows.
The 'huh' gag is one of those things that really sticks and for some odd reason doesn't become tiresome. It's just funny. Fast talking comics have held their own quite well in the biz. Phil Silvers was a particularly good and successful one.
Schreiber was a better actor but Burns was a comedic genius who made a career of 'you know what i mean, huh, huh, huh?". he also was the behind the scenes producer of a few very successful comedy series.
Burns & Schreiber hosted the NBC 1966 fall preview show in their inimitable style...they introduced STAR TREK and THE MONKEES to America.

I love these 2 guys. Their Huh gimmick was priceless and never tiring at all.
