@marcusrusek was the conversion difficult? maybe also think about putting in a slightly larger front sproket and longer pedal arms for more torque. I have found a Shimano Alfine 11 (eleven) speed geared hub that offers a wider range of gears. I have to wonder if it can stand up to the abuse of the heavier kart. I am planning on using a pedal kart to have a adventure across America and camp out in the wild.

@paulscape72 , yes it is the racer BF-3 . I just converted it to a 7 speed sram hub .
