I would assume Alto is alive, because right before the explosion you can see Vajra Queen fold out(with Alto too). Though after he rejected Rankas feelings I'm not sure if I want him to be alive...

I like Ranka's voice in this one and while I agree she is better in the movie than the series I will always be a Sheryl fan first. This was an amazing duet though no matter which singer you prefer.

@ladykikyo2505 There is no announcement for a 3rd movie, and it's more likely that there won't be one. As for Alto it's pretty much up the viewer's input to believe what happen to him. But mostly likely if the animators bring another season or series, Alto will not be brought up and will probably be considered MIA for the rest of the timeline.
