*** 1) This video is meant for viewers already familiar with powerline adapters & its inherent problems***
*** 2) All Poweline-Ace models viewed in this video are prototype versions only. Final industrial design to be finalized when global partner is identified***
Powerline-Ace (aka Surestreamer or PLC-CLLI, which is also a performance-proven lightning & surge isolator), is CAL-LAB's latest contribution to Powerline Communications by practically removing all the IMPRACTICAL-restrictions that have plagued the powerline adapters' effectiveness for too long, making your powerline networking setup, PRACTICAL, EFFECTIVE & SAFE from lightning.
The reason Powerline-Ace is able to achieve this fact is because it is much more than just a line-noise filter.
In fact, Powerline-Ace combines 3 very different approaches; the enhancement approach, the noise-filtering approach, and the attenuation approach (in the form of performance proven lightning protection).
This is why we're currently patenting Powerline-Ace as we've successfully integrated all of these 3 conflicting approaches into a single harmonious entity, which we know to be Powerline-Ace
By simply adding a Powerline-Ace to each setup, Powerline adapters will perform at their best!
Once launched, CAL-LAB cannot possibly meet the demand and thus, is looking for a strong global partner to cope with the projected global-demand, as soon as powerline networking becomes widely adopted. Investment opportunies are still open!

You walk too slow.

3) In regards to PLA's power condumption, we cant comment much. Some PLA manufacturers claim that PLA's consume 4W and at the same time there are others who claim that PLA's consume more than 40W.
We hope this helps. Thanks again for stopping by :)

@Ayrshore
Hi, pls find our answers to your queries below:-
1) We've not launched Powerline-Ace as our inventor/CEO is unwilling to release this patent-pending technology yet
2) We cannot disclose in detail how (among others) we're able to achieve this. However, you may refer to this (cal-labdotcom/indexdotphp?act=a-statement-from-the-inventor)
3) ctd...

@surestreamer Is it possible to be loaned a set of these filters to test with a set of powerline adaptors we already have to determine if your claims are true in the real world?
How does your filter manage to overcome the fact that the ring mains network in a house is imbalanced - which will always result in RF escaping from the circuit?
PLAs are not "eco-friendly" - each pair results in an additional power useage of 40-100W, compared to a straight Ethernet cable.

This has been a problem powerline-adapter manufacturers have been facing for the last decade or so.
We believe Powerline-Ace overcomes this particular problem (among others), by cleaning and conditioning the powerline, thereby eliminating the need for an increase in transmission power by powerline-adapters, and by extension, avoiding electromagnetic interference to sensitive equipment.
We hope this helps. Thanks again for your time and feedback.

Because of this noise, powerline-adapters use more transmission power to transmit packets of data over the powerline. While the increase in transmission power may improve the signal to noise ratio (SNR), more electromagnetic interference is also released via the air terminal, probably causing interference to sensitive equipment or equipment communicating within the same bandwidth of these powerline-adapters.

We say "ideally & theoretically" because we know that in real-life situations, powerline-adapters have failed to live up to its promises, and along the way (and years) caused frustration to many regulatory bodies and establishments.
One of the shortcomings of powerline-adapters is the inability to overcome "noise" within the powerline. Depending on your geographical location, powerline conditions can be extremely noisy.

@Ayrshore
Hi,
Thank you for your feedback and insight.
We at Cal-Lab & EDV do not manufacturer powerline adapters. We do not wish to compete with the big boys out there.
We're a small tech company specializing in patented lightning protection for home/office/security equipment. One of our product line (called Powerline-Ace) is catered specifically for powerline-adapters, which we know is ideally & theoretically a viable, economical & eco-friendly technology.

@labcoattech
Google for "Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations 2006" and you should find the UK legislation.
Refer to section 4, powerline adaptors cannot comply with this section, and then other section come into play making them illegal to affix the CE marking to, and therefore illegal to sell. Other sections make it illegal to use them also.

@Ayrshore Can you provide a link to verify this.
