Vice President: China attaches great importance to Sino-Mongolian ties

Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping has arrived in Ulan Bator for an official visit to Mongolia. He has met with President Nambaryn Enkhbayar and Prime Minister Sanj Bayar.
Xi Jinping expressed gratitude to the Mongolian government for its support and aid to Chinese people after last month's earthquake. The vice president said China attaches great importance to Sino-Mongolian ties, and is willing to work with Mongolia to strengthen communication, cooperation and bilateral ties.
President Enkhbayar said he believes the Chinese government and people will rebuild the quake zone soon, and successfully host this summer's Olympic Games.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Sanj Bayar, Xi Jinping said high-level exchanges between the two countries would improve cooperation and expand communication in a number of fields, like coping with climate change. Bayar said Mongolia treasures its relationship with China and wants to deepen cooperation in the fields of energy, natural resources, and infrastructure.
The prime minister said Mongolia is willing to work with China to maintain peace and stability in northeast Asia.
