Here's How I Lost 2 Pant Sizes and Started Closing My Diastasis Recti
In Only 1 Month!

Have you ever stood in front of the mirror in disbelief, thinking, "How can my stomach still look like I am 5 months pregnant, when I am five months post-pregnant?"

Have you been doing crunches faithfully and see no change in that belly bulge?

Are you exercising and eating right, but that darn number on the scale isn't budging?

I'm hear to tell you that you don't have to be frustrated any more. Giving birth to five children in a short amount of time has left my body scarred and stretched to the max. There wasn't enough time in between each pregnancy for my body to heal, so I just kept getting more and more out of shape.

During my last pregnancy, my body finally had had enough and I ended up with diastasis recti.

How Do I Know If I Have It?

An easy way to test yourself to see if you have it, is to lie down on your back and place one hand on your belly near the belly button and the other hand behind your neck. Lift your head about an inch or two off the floor and feel the middle of your belly. If you can place more than two or three fingers between the right and left halves of your abdominus rectus, then you have separated abdominal muscles. The picture you see of me here is what mine looks like after 1 month of working on closing it. I used to be able to get three and a half fingers in there!

How do I Get Rid of Diastasis Recti?

I wanted to get strong using my own body's natural healing power. But I didn't know how to stimulate my stomach muscles in the right way to get them back into the right shape. Your stomach muscles after pregnancy are completely stretched out and need to be retrained to sit flat against your body. If you do crunches and sit ups without pulling your muscles in flat, then you are training them to push out and they will stay out.

So Here's What I Did

I found out about a great workout program that trains your whole body to gain muscle so that you can burn fat even while you aren't exercising. It's called P90X. Now, at first, I was a little apprehensive to try it, because it looked like a really intense workout, and I didn't want to overdo it. But I pushed forward through the fear, and started it. I took it easy on the abdominal exercises so that I would not make my diastasis recti worse, but I worked as hard as I could on everything else. During the stomach exercises I concentrated on keeping my stomach as flat as possible. I imagined my belly button pushing down through my back onto the floor. I couldn't do a lot of the ab exercises at first because I was making sure my form was correct first. But now I can do about 50% of them, only one month into it!

Here's the best part. I initially started P90X because I wanted to get stronger and close my diastasis recti, but I got a bonus. I am only a month into it and I have more energy than I can ever remember having, even through high school and college! I have already closed my diastasis recti to only two finger widths and am daily making it smaller.

Now, I am still a work in progress, mind you. I have a little ways to go, but Tony Horton is a great motivator and he'll help you through each workout to keep bringing your best, even when you feel like stopping.

What if I Don't Like It?

What is there to lose? If you try it and aren't fully satisfied that you will get a completely ripped body in 90 days, just return it within 90 days and you'll be refunded the purchase price, but you'll get to keep the Ab Ripper X DVD and the 3-Phase Nutrition plan as a gift just for trying P90X. So I ask again.... what is there to lose? Only your fat!

So start your transformation now! I'd love to help you along as we fight to get our bodies back together with P90X! Leave a comment below or click the "contact me" button above in the menu bar. I'm excited to hear from you!

  • I'm disappointed that this was a product ad more than one mom sharing her experience with abdominal separation; I'd love to hear what other women are doing to heal themselves, but preferably without a sales pitch.
