@mai2xs sadly, no. He passed away in 1987 at the age of 80.

centrifugal force is a myth

I still remember Julius Sumner Miller in that old ad from early 80s, where he uses a lighted match to suck an egg into a milk bottle. "WHY IS IT SO?" lol.

i randomly tapped places on the bar and made my own remix

I'm starting to see a bit of Lewis Black in Dr. Sumner's demonstrations..... Sneak a "&@*#!" in there once in a while, and you'll see what I mean. Totally love this guy's passion for science.

Heh heh. A contender for the Homer Simpson Trousers up to the Throat award. God bless ya Julius.

@mai2xs unfortunately not. Died April 14, 1987.

"There is no force radially on the ball." Correct. There are forces. Plural.
Which force keeps the string tensed?
And when two forces cease to exist simultaneously, how it can be proof that one of them never existed?
And what about Newton's third law? Centripetal force is exception? Exists without centrifugal one?
EVERY force is just mathematical representation of real world actions, not only centrifugal one.

May I asked some question Sir. I think some of water particles will come out to the bucket because water has no definite shape but has definite volume right? Another observation about centrifugal force, if we look to the ball or things in your experiments it seem the force going out but the truth the force is in the center like the reaction of the candles light. I cant explain it sir but that is only my idea.. :) Godbless all..

This argument is one of the most silliest, false arguments prevalent in physics today: "The radial force does not exist because when you release the string, the ball flies off at a tangent." Hello! The radial force exists ONLY if there is centripetal acceleration. OF COURSE, the radial force vanishes when you release the string because there is no longer any centripetal acceleration!
