So the Robolab competition was a disappointing day. We spent so many extra hours on the robot to make it work perfectly and then during the competition it didn't work at all.
We spent a week just trying to forget about the whole thing but when it came to putting together the presentation and we needed a video we decided to give it one last shot to work correctly. It didn't.
So we tried again to fix the problem... We eventually identified the problem--somewhat annoyingly because we thought it might have been the RCX and therefore not our fault, but it WAS our fault, after all--, fixed it, and the result of the fix to the problem is shown at the end of this video: a perfect run (one of many consistently and just as perfect runs both before the competition AND on the day we fixed it).
But there IS a kind of morbid sense of accomplishment that we finally found the problem, and even though the robot is now in little Lego pieces, we have this video to show for our efforts.
Enjoy!
