Rather than appeasing to Kobe's request to win another championship, they need to begin a rebuilding phase with Kobe as a leader and mentor. Howard isn't going to LA, so Bynum and Pau need to be shipped off another way. Pau is looking like a shell of his former self with no return evitable, and Bynum is too much of an injury risk. This is LA's last shot, and I don't see it happening.

@VALLESIDE818 No, everyone didn't suck Jordan's just the GOAT. Teams back then played hard nose defense and almost every team had a star. Jordan was just better. Championships aren't the focus of the head to head in game rivalry unless they meet in the finals. Unless they meet there and kobe wins (which he won't), then rings aren't pertinent to this argument. Lebron owns kobe head to head.

@VALLESIDE818 rivalries are 80% media fabricated as it is, especially in the case of kobe-lebron. Lebron owns kobe head to head. You can't just say the league sucked when Jordan played. He had no rival because to be a rival you have to win some of the time. In that respect the pistons were the bulls' rivals up until the bulls ascended into legendary status. Therefore MJ and the bulls could have no real rivalry because no one could beat them. Don't mistake MJ's skill for everyone else sucking

There is no rivarly for MJ cause the league sucked in his era. Kobe's era is filled with great guards, SF, how ever Jordans era wasen'tn so great except Reggie and one or tow guys.
