From www.BookVideos.tv - In an insightful and engaging narrative, Tonya Reiman analyzes all of the components of body language -- the languages of the face, the body, space and touch, and sound. She shows you how to become a Master Communicator with The Reiman Rapport Method, a surefire system for building an instant connection with anyone, in any situation. And she shares the experiences of her clients, from executives to politicians to relationship seekers: Learn from Cindy, a confident and ambitious manager who turned her career around by altering the subconscious messages she was sending her male colleagues...and Peter, the wedding DJ whose client list blossomed as soon as he practiced the art of social smiling! Peppered with photos and fun facts, The Power of Body Language is as entertaining as it is instructive. Get the power to send and receive the messages you want -- and never be left in the dark again.

  • wow this is interesting, the girl looking a guy in the eyes 3 times is important.

  • regarding putting hands in the pockets being a sexual signal...nonsense...perhaps for some men...at certain times...but not for all men...at all times...seems we should avoid stereotyping the behavior of any gender with all-encompassing expressions like "men" and "women"...there is much diversity among us...

  • Tonya Reiman - my body language right now says you're full of .....

  • @signalfire6 Right but i wrote that article under the assumtion that we were talking about the american culture. Body language isn't an exact science... It's just a general guesstimation about what's going through the other persons head. But still, you would show at least one of the signs I stated if the person was making you uncomfortable. you may back up if people get close to you, but do you fold your arms. do you break eye contact and look everywhere else but there? S' all i was saying.

  • I hope she gets speech therapy to lower that annoying high pitched Brooklyn voice.

  • @Faerun1 I have to back up when people get too close because otherwise I can't focus my eyes on their face. And every culture is different. In some countries, people get right in your face, it's impolite not to, or to back away from them.

  • Not every position we unconsciously put our bodies into reveals something about us. Instead, the positions that we put a lot of effort into exhibiting show exactly how we are feeling in a given situation. The police officer in the UC Davis pepper spraying incident is a clear example of how purposefully acting cool and collected in a tumultuous situation reveals his position of power. Body language is important, but only in specific situations does it show how we're truly feeling.

  • @justsayit2me that she has some modesty???

  • lol... This lady misses the most important point of reading body language... ONE THING IS NOT A DEFINITIVE ANSWER BECAUSE HUMANS ARE SO DIFFERENT.... for instance.... a woman takes a step back she may have just lost her balance temporarily. However if said woman takes a step back and her body is leaning back wards, as well as arms crossed... then yeah your making her uncomfortable. .... That being said.. I really want to know this lady is so hostel towards men...

  • IMO she's mostly talking out of her ass, making it up as she goes, trying to deeply read into something that really isn't a concrete form of language at all. Anyone can write a book about body language, but if you think you're gifted enough to write the dictionary you're full of shit.
