So far, Detroit Mayor Dave Bing is not proposing cuts to the police department, but if he is thinking about cutting cops, he should take a look at Flint.
They cut the police force there by 25-percent, last year. Since then, the murder rate has spun out of control.

ok, let me see here, we have, Detroit, Flint, Pontiac, Benton Harbor, Ecorse, Inkster, River Rouge...could name a few more because it is more..WTF! Why can't these cities be civil...are we educating and cultivating our young? IF WE DON'T DEAL WITH OURSELVES THEN WE GOING TO DEAL WITH OURSELVES..too many young cats out losing they lives over bullshit! the MURDER MITTEN ain't nothing to brag about. all it says that we are some uncivilized animals and we don't have the ability to govern ourselves?!

The person who said the east side is a small town and the west side is bad, well obviously does not live in Flint. I have lived here my whole entire life on the west side. East side is bad. Tons of crimes and shootings over there. West side isn't that bad at all it's actually probably the safest side of Flint. North side is horrible, worst area in all of Flint. South side is not that bad it's closer to Burton. Pretty much just never get lost on the East or North side. Horrible areas.
