So, if someone used the zip gas card to fill up someone elses car, what would happen?

That would be funny to pay for an hour and jack the gas with the card.

Its funny how universities use Zipcars to cut down on car traffic within their campus. "I hope for every Zipcar we have, that's another student car off the road." I heard that quote from a university dean. 1+1-1=1

It makes no sense to me. Simple math tells me that this wont cut down on traffic. At the most, a student will use the Zipcar instead of their own. It is still a car on the road.

Worst case scenario; a student with no car uses the Zipcar, which just adds more traffic.

@JetHawk It wouldn't work. All the gas cards have the Zipcar's number plate written on them. So when you go to the gas station it would not match.

@JetHawk Actually, you have to enter in your odometer reading into the gas pump when you fill the car with gas. The Zipcars also have onboard computers recording mileage too. I imagine they analyze these numbers to make sure everyone is on the up and up!
