Hechos Violentos by David Scheier

A video poem which mimics the ending credits of a fictional film that doesn't exist. The poem is dedicated and loosely based on a good friend and his brother who were victims of the violence in Juarez due to the current and ongoing cartel drug wars.

This piece was featured in the exhibition "All the Best," December 11, 2010-January 22, 2011 from "Text off the Page" in the Sullivan Galleries downtown Chicago. A text companion piece is feature in the "Text off the page 2010," publication for the School of Art Institute at Chicago MFA writing program. During the opening there was a response by Crispin Rosenkranz.
