I'm cuban..and lived in Lawrenceville GA for 2 yrs....
when i came back home to Miami my family bearly understood what i said..LOL !
specially when they became frustrated and i said to them.."Well alright na...dont git yer panties ina wad !" ...LOL....it just rolled right out my tongue and they were like... "WHAT ???" hahaha...then they looked at me like i went sumtin crazy...hehe

I know English and Vermontese and German and Bavarian Dialect and you make a valid point because in the case of my grandmother from Bavaria it is more obvious in differences...

Lemonette: I'm fortunate enough to be generally known as a poliglot, but the
Southern idiomatic twists of sintax and proxody makes it very hard for me to even contemplate the idea of learning Southern.

But this is NOT BILINGUALISM!!! It´s just two accents of the same language! This is stupid!! Don`t confuse terms!!!I AM BILINGUAL I Speak English and Spanish perfectly (TWO different languages! not the same.

Oh my word! I almost peed on my self! I am also bilingual. I also have mastered the Southern language, I live in AL and have a Pig just 1 mile from my house and shop all the Blue Light specials at the Kmart all the time! We have a common bond! The love of our lovely language! LOL :) I am gonna send this here video to all my kin folk ! Love ya!
