Scott McClellan Backs Obama for President

President Bush's former press secretary, who drew fire from the administration for his tell-all book, endorses Barack Obama

Thursday, October 23, 2008

NEW YORK -- Scott McClellan, President Bush's former press secretary who angered old colleagues with a tell-all book earlier this year, said Thursday he is backing Barack Obama for president.

McClellan is the second former administration official to back the Democratic candidate this week. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell came out Sunday for Obama.

While Powell chose "Meet the Press" to make his news, McClellan did it at the taping of comedian D.L. Hughley's new talk show, which is premiering 10 p.m. Saturday on CNN.
Hughley found a little begging helped.

"We are a new show and your endorsement would probably mean a lot," Hughley said. "But don't look at the fact that I am black or, no pressure. Endorse somebody, damn it!"

McClellan, who was Bush's chief spokesman from July 2003 to April 2006, said he's always planned to support the candidate that has the best chance for changing the way Washington works and getting things done.

"I will be voting for Barack Obama," he said.

McClellan, a onetime Bush loyalist whose scathing critique of the president sent shock waves across Washington last spring, has long hinted he was leaning toward the Illinois senator.

"It's a message that is very similar to the one that Gov. Bush ran on in 2000," McClellan said in May about Obama's campaign.

McClellan is also giving an extended interview on "Larry King Live" on Friday to talk about his endorsement.

McClellan grew disillusioned after leaving the administration and wrote a book, "What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception," that surprised many for its blunt talk. He admitted to being part of a White House effort to shade the truth about the case for war in Iraq.

The White House said Bush was surprised and saddened about the book.

Obama will be the 44th President not because of the Liberals, but because of Gods predestination. Look at the number 44. Two parts, each of 4, half white, half black, and biblically 4 means deliverance. No man can fight against Gods will and win. If Republicans wanted to honor McCain as President, why didnt they do that in 2000 when he ran for presidency and asked for their support? Yet they left him and chose Bush! If he didnt deserve it then, so he doesnt deserve it now. 44 is Obama's.

Try as they may, unfortunately it's not gonna happen! Not this time! The handwriting is on the wall: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN (Numbered, Numbered, Weighed, Divided). This is the interpretation thereof: MENE: God has numbered the Bush-McCain Republican administration, and finished it. TEKEL: The Bush-McCain administration has been weighed in the balances, and found wanting. PERES: The Bush-McCain administration has been divided, and given to Democrats and Independents. See Daniel 5: 25-28.

I think these clowns were fooled but won't make the same mistake twice...or at least I will give them the credit of making a dumb mistake once...put that clown in office again, and the USA is doomed!

Silly reason to not vote for him...Obama has like a 14% chance of dying in office because he smokes.

if that's mcclelland's motivation for the endorsement it's not exactly surprising. he was a repukeican after all and those people do nothing from high minded motives. with repukes it's always self preservation and survival instinct. unfortunately for them, in this election, those low instincts are costing them both houses of congress and the white house.
