In this edition of Big Cat Rescue's "Home Improvements" we take a look at the building of a new Canadian Lynx habitat. Listen in as Operations Manager Scott Lope explains all that goes into enlarging a habitat that will soon be extra space for our resident Canadian Lynx. We are all excited that our two female elderly Lynx will be able to live out the rest of their lives in a larger enclosure.

I agree with your policy. Why do humans always feel animals are only here on this planet to be our pets? It's a wild animal, the unfortunate thing as that someone once tried to make a pet of it and now it has to live in a shelter.

you should never "pet" a big cat. you'd get your arm gnawed off. and it wouldnt be the animals fault, it would be yours.

@mako7828 Well, try hitching a plow to a Lynx and see how that's works. Better yet, try milking it.

@UltimateHomer nothing unfortunate about it at all, the desire to tame animals is how we ended up with farming, cattle, horses, and any other domestic Animal.

I love those gorgeous cats. Beautiful lynx, yes dangerous as well. But that is what I adore. Sounds strange even to me.

Well it costs us around $7500 a year to feed one tiger/lion!
