I am in my 30s and just had the surgery to correst the same thing you show here after 2 years of vision therapy. Any hopes of me ever getting stereo or depth vision? I still use the eyes independently but they are straight.

Hi mal63
If you do a search for "ledermanvision strabismus cured through vision therapy", you will get a clear sequence of a 13yr old through treatment in which I do a cover test on both eyes. You will see clearly that the tropia becomes a phoria. He was a strabismic amblyope 20/200. Now has 20/30 and 40 seconds of stereopsis. All the ophthalmologists said there was nothing to be done

no, unless the surgery goes majorly wrong. It doesn't get in the way of your sight. The muscles are operated on the front of the eye, just behind the white layer (sclera)of the eye.

I wonder with lazy eye sugery if you have 20 20 vision with cross eyes after surgery to the lay eye will you still have 20 20 vision? Or will you lose some vision because of stretching the muscle of the eye?

if you go towww.youtube.com/user/visioncenter?feature=mhee and follow curing exotropia-the journey, you will be able to a closer look at a treatment. This young ladies Grandfather is an ophthalmologist. He was amazed and has recommended that NO surgery is required.
