  • Heya, I want to use henna now, because my hair is not nice after using chemical dye, I need a piece of advice.

    a) When I died my hair with chemical dye in the beginnig of November (now 3 months ago) will it be ok for me to use henna now? I have read that it might turn green or what...

    b) Are u using cold water? I have read that I should use hot water and that will enhance the colour.

    c) Why are u using lemon? I want to have more orangee hair (not red really). Will lemon juice help?

  • @mannonn We are no longer using lemon, but if you get our sunset glow it will come with shelly oil and this will make it oranger. You can use our henna all by itself as well, jsut order the red orange. All of our dye comes with instructions for the best results follow the manufactures instructions. Harvest Moon by Henna Hut is faster and easier to use than any brand on the market.

  • Hi there! I would like to know if there will be any root lines visible if i use henna? I have black roots growing out, while my ends were previously dyed brown. I'm thinking of opting for henna instead of another chemical dye job. Will the colour come out uneven? (lighter on ends, darker on black roots)

  • @thatfatbelly Depends on what color you do. Pure henna is gong to be red/orange. If you use black to cover it all it will be black. Our dye only goes darker. You might be able to use a dark brown as well to cover over all of it.You can use it as often as you like, so if it is not dark enough you can do it again. Remember it will continue to darken over 48 hours.

  • My hair's naturally 3/4 darkish brown and 1/4 orange-red. I'm having a hard time working out how pure henna would look on my hair because apparently my natural color combination is unusual and no one seems to know. I really want it to be a lot redder (as in natural red-orange), because it's not summer anymore and the red only REALLY strongly stands out when the sun shines on it. Of course I'm going to buy some pure henna and do a strand test, but does anyone know what I might be able to expect?

  • @BeriiShirayuki For some reason this just came up on our board. The darker your hair the less the red will show. Natural hair dyes will not go lighter. The pure henna will give you an auburn color. Deep red will show up better.

  • @udsweetness That is a "myth". In reality if you go to india, they will tell you that using a metal bowl will make it work better. We have used metal, wood, glass and none make a difference.

  • Your not suppose to use metal with henna...huge no no!

  • when using henna you are suppose to stay away from using metal. I use only glass and a wood spoon.

  • One it is a really old video, but most important we are now using private crops to harvest our henna, so it is fresher and stronger. You can use lemon on pure red orange to make it brighter. Shelly oil does the same, but it coutner acts any other color. With ours it is not needed at all.

  • WHY do u add the lemon in the video if it's bad for hair like u said?just asking? and why add the oil?
