An unforgettable classic returns in 1996, To Sir, With Love 2.

Starring: Sidney Poitier (Also starred in films like: A Raisin in the Sun, In The Heat of the Night among others.)

Overview:
After thirty years teaching in London, Mark Thackeray retires and returns to Chicago. There, however, the challenge of reaching kids in an inner city school proves too much to resist.

  • When movies receive sequels, the sequels are usually butchered. To Sir, With Love 2 is by far the best sequel yet. It was just as brilliant as it's original.

  • @19nonnahs93 Let's put it this way. Everything Sidney Poitier touches turns into gold.

  • inspiring film...thanks for putting it up...just one problem - the sound was rather soft...but great anyway.

  • Briliant just briliant moovie!!

  • Yes 19nonnans93 Everything Sidney Poitier touches turns into gold.He is the greatest actor ever live.

  • wanderful

  • toll

  • It's pretty hard to compare this sequel to the original....the main character is the only similarity.

Poitier always shines in whatever role he's doing.

For me, the original was a better story, this one is a bit patchy and predictable...some good scenes and dialogue though.

  • horse manure!

  • Both movies are excellant. Sidney is da man.

  • @UnderRatedClassics pretty much. I personally hate this cliche/trope, the teacher taking over a class of delinquents and making them believe in themselves, but Sidney Poitier in my opinion originated the trope and does it better than anyone else.

  • Damn good movie!!!
