A divorced woman moves to a new city with her child, trying to build her life again. She joins the choir of a local church but has some personality conflicts with the choirmaster, a curmudgeonly old gentleman who will accept nothing but perfection from his group. As Christmas approaches the choir practices for the big show and the director pushes them all to their emotional limits.

I love this movie and have been watching it regularly. I just find the comment that the "pay for office work is ok and the hours are flexible" -- in what universe!!! LOL! I worked in offices for 27 years. The hours were anything but flexible. I was expect to start on time and leave whenever I wanted AFTER quitting time. Such is reality vs. a movie. I've always loved this move. Thank YOU SOOOO much for uploading it!! :-)

Thanks for a movie I have always enjoyed. Michael Learned is beautiful. The story is very good. It is an above average movie.
