i love Ellroy, but anybody who calls Bukowski a misogynist, obviously didn't take the time to actually read his material. He wrote a novel called Women. That's like me writing a whole novel on writing: i wrote the novel on writing because i hate writing.

Of any profession, writers are most jealous of each others' successes. These guys hate to think that Bukowski's works will live on for generations while their notoriety is threadbare during their own lifetimes.
