  • Things to keep in mind: sometimes people in our lives do not provide what a trained therapist can. Clearly I am biased on this matter because I am receiving a Masters degree within the field and have worked in the field for 3 years and counting. But beyond my career... Anxiety is complex, people are complex... self awareness is needed to understand route causes of anxiety and other mental health issues. While friends are great, counseling is a viable option for many.

  • @NaturalBells when i went to counseling i was basically talking at the woman. i feel like she offered me nothing. im sure thats not the case for all therapists. but this must be an interesting field to study. congrats in advance on that masters degree!

  • wow this vid really helped me out today. i always get anxiety, even over the stupidest things.

  • @soandso13 the fact that you know you get anxiety over stupid things is great. that means when you're having an episode, you can remind yourself that whatever is making you anxious doesn't even matter! =.)

  • The other thing i do to relax is i talk it out with my hubby, i know this might sound strange but it depends on what my trigger was but sometime i hum lol. I want to get into running. i also went to a counselor & i didn't like it either.

  • I can relate i was diagnosed with anxiety 2002, i have the rapid heart beating i do the deep breathing to slow my heart down. I can relate!!

  • with not knowing why you are stressed best thing would be for you to do is let your mind commune with your heart (meditation) and cups of tea pref'bly african red. works for me I just can't do medicine. tryin to live upright and natural. but that anxiety is that nervousness like when tryin to aproach a female, butterflies. at least the heart pounding you described.
