Understanding Prophets 101: How to Identify a False Prophets

How does Yahweh speak to his people? Numbers 12:6 & he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I Yahweh will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.

JOB WAS A PROPHET
Job 7:14 Then thou scarest me with dreams, and terrifiest me through visions:
Job 33: 14For Yahweh speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; 16Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,
17That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

DANIEL WAS A PROPHET
Daniel 1:17 As for these four children, Yahweh gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
Daniel 4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

Moses was a Prophet
"And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face" (Dt 34:10).

How do we know the interpretations of our dreams sent by Yahweh?

Amos 3:7 Surely Yahweh will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

HOW TO IDENTIFYING A FALSE PROPHET
1)PROPHETS HAVE TO MAKE A PROPHESY, IF IT DOESN'T COME TO PASS, THAT PROPHET WASN'T SENT FROM YAHWEH

Deuteronomy 18: 20But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.21And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which Yahweh hath not spoken?
22When a prophet speaketh in the name of Yahweh, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing Yahweh hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

2) A FALSE PROPHET DOESN'T KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS

3) They claim Yahushuah came in the flesh
1 John 4:1-6 "Believe not every spirit" "Try the spirits" "confesseth not that Yahushuah came in the flesh is antichrist"

Why does Yahweh allow those false prophets to falsely prophesy?
Deuteronomy 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other elohim, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; 3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for YHWH your Elohim proveth you, to know whether ye love YHWH your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 Ye shall walk after YHWH your Elohim, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Hey I like prophecy a lot. I like to read the bible's prophecy, and I also like to read other prophets like Nostradamus. However, I always hold the bible as ultimate truth, and know that every prophecy in this book is truth.

So tell me, if I look at patterns in the news, and also the movements of stars/planets (usually astronomy, not too much astrology), does this make me a false prophet if I make a prediction based on these 2? I don't think it does, because god gave us the heavens.

If you are claiming this or that will happen in the name of YHWH (God) & he didn't send you, & it doesn't come to pass, you are a false prophet.

Deut. 13 states that, even if a Prophets prophesies come to pass we are not to listen to him to follow another God.

I don't think it makes you a prophet.

As long as you don't make any claims that YHWH (God) sent you its fine, I guess.

Prediction & Prophesy seems to be different.

@Adahondeayenh true God did give the heavens, but your a sorcerer if you look to the stars and not to the one who made them. Prophecy does not make you a Prophet. The Holy Spirit speaks in this Covenant, so if Holy Spirit is not in you and UPON you and activating the gifts for you and you are the vessel, you are not a Prophet of GOD but of evil and spirits that have been rebuked.

first you the people in america have to know what a prophet is to make a clam that they are a false prophet. if they don't clam to be a prophet don't put that label on them. you make the real prophets of God look bad. and Nostradamus is not one. he was a man of math and science.
