He was called a chucker because nobody could believe such a bowler could exist. He had a unique, the most distinct technique that no one else could copy. You'll never see another wrist off-spinner like this man. A legend, truly phenomenal.

I am from South Africa and people ask me who is the better spin bowler, Shane Warne or Murali, and to me it is clear that Murali is the best spin bowler ever is becuase he has proven it over and over. But on the other hand, i must admit King Kallis did a great job for south africa in that match.

Mendis form has dipped because batsmen are starting to work out his variations easily. Mainly thanks to the media that records everything in slowmotion and then gives it to the batsmen.
However Mendis will need to work hard in the nets to keep the batsmen guessing. I remember nasser hussain say he needs to work more on flight and pace variation as he cant rely on turn like Murali or Warne. I guess Mendis will do well to watch Anil Kumble
