First snow storm of the year in 2004 - took out the Chevette and did some donuts as best I could with this (I swear) 50 horsepower car. LOL

Yeah, these were the "bad old days" of economy cars where they mostly were ugly, cramped, slow, and noisy. The upside is that they were inexpensive, simple and generally lightweight.

Interesting to see a Chevette still on the road after all these years. I thought they were all reduced to a pile of rust by now. Rear wheel drive is definitely a plus for doing doughnuts. And doing this kind of shit in a parking lot is not only fun, but it gives you car handling experience which could save you life out on the road.

If your Chevette had a diesel, I think it WAS 50HP. If it was a 1.6 gas engine, either 70 or 74HP. A 74HP Chevette will do 0-60 in around 14 seconds...with a stick shift. Automatics were slower.
