Toll gemacht! ;-)
How many frames per day did you shoot?

water putrefaction can usually be eliminated by enlarging your reservior and aerating.

Nice. That was a long time frame. How did you keep the water fresh for all that time? I have a problem with the water going putrid after a few days when trying to root something. I just uploaded a time lapse of a Black Walnut sprouting for a few days, one photo and hour.

Thx, I actually didn't have any problems with the water, perhaps due to low quality of the local waters here. Or maybe the branch was relatively small. However I had to add water every 2-3 days.. I am now looking for some good text imprint tool for future timelapses..

You can use Yamb. Make an .srt file with the comments and time and then use Yamb to "mux" it into your file. It is freeware. There are good examples of .srt files. SRT files are created by Subrip, and you can download many examples, and they are easy to write by hand as well.

I honestly don't know :) Probably one of the common ever-green trees here..
