This is a very simple step by step method for writing a generic metal song.

Just out of interest mate, who would ever want to do that? Generic metal songs are a bit pish.

  • @soggydan1 This is just how I learnt to write, in my experience music is about breaking rules not ignoring them. Also i don't intend people to use this guide alone, everything is just a tool and the more you have the better off you are.

  • @s0m3w0n2 you can't speak American, unless you were joking

  • @ryanrp123 He's Canadian lol.

  • @s0m3w0n2 No such language as American you moron.

  • @s0m3w0n2 American isn't a language, good sir. I believe you mean 'English'.

    The more you know...

  • @soggydan1 Yeah, but learning "generic" metal songs, you learn the fundamentals of the genre. You have to know the rules in order to be able to break them effectively.

  • 5:18 he is staring into your soul!

  • @Sodom616 yes scales are a must, it's super easy to do and will make writing music easy as hell.

  • @soggydan1 He's just showing you how to write a song, which is really cool that he's taking the time. Did you expect him to show you how to write a billboard song or what?
