One of the top 5 greatest shows of all time, up there with "The wire". Usually I'm not a fan of westerns but Deadwood is just perfectly written and the cast is superb. Al Swearengen is one of my favorite characters in television history. David Milch did another show on HBO called "John from Cincinnati" that I thought was amazing, it only lasted 1 season but I personally think that it worked fine with the way it ended.

@winter9020 haha i just wasnt sure if you didnt like that she played a hooker in it lol! ive never watched the show myself, i dont even know anything about it, is it good? i was just searching for western soundtrack music and this came up and i like it haha.

@bleujae1 No way.... I loved it... she is also a rock presenter in LA and I met soo many celebs through her.... she said Al is a nice guy!!!

yes, you are probably right, that may be it, the real wild west just wasnt fair, and today, its the same in the corporate world, and banks and stuff, little guys loses , big rich guy gets richer...I think Deadwood is the closest show so far to the way it was back then.

@winter9020 I gues that is what they tried to do They build this hate relationship between Deadwood people and Hearst ...then! Nothing. There could be many reasons why they didnt end in a big bang... First thing that comes to mymind is that maybe they didnt have the budjet. The show was ended cause they didnt have enough money to keep making it. Or they just wanted to make clear that this is a cruel world were happy endings rearly exist... I was quite disappointed with the last episodes too.

Deadwood is the BEST thing that was EVER on TV. Whoever made the decision to leave us in the middle, however, should be shot.
