Album: Exil
Poem by Paul Celan:
---------------------------
"Einmal,
da horte ich ihn,
da wusch er die welt,
ungesech, nachtling,
wirklich.
Eins und Unendlich,
vernichtet,
ichten.
Licht war. Rettung."
---------------------------
ONCE
"Once
I heard him,
he was washing the world,
unseen, nightlong,
real.
One and infinite,
annihilated,
I-ed.
Light was. Salvation. "
---------------------------
Maacha Deubner: soprano
Natalia Pschenitschnikova: alto and bass recorder
Catrin Demenga: violin
Ruth Killius: viola
Rebecca Firth: cello
Christian Sutter: double bass
Wladimir Jurowski: conductor
That's how Luigi Nono would have sounded if he had been tonal. Amazing.

The poem is ...... what I feel myself in such nights, lost in universal depths, one with the One but never I read a poem about it. and I could not create one, never words came. Here they are. My soul sings again. And asks: were your prayers not a poem too?
