For me Pink Floyd improved immensly when David Gilmour joined.
Rogers Song writing with Ricks touch on the keyboards were sent to another level when Gilmour joined... you can tell when Meddle came out, that Gilmour replacing Barrett would send this band to legendary status... there were 4 versions of Pink Floyd... all different.
Barrett Floyd.... Collaberative Floyd..... Waters Floyd..... and Gilmour Floyd... and they were all superb....but collaberative Floyd was the pinacle.
