A video of Jupiter (and also showing Mercury and Mars) taken just before dawn on Feb 19, from Australia.
Jupiter is clearly visible with some of its companion moons just detectable when zoomed in. It was just as bright as it should be, no brighter, and definitely not 'ignited', as some folks are saying after misintepreting some images from NASA's SOHO spacecraft.
Note that from the US currently, Jupiter will appear much 'lower' (slanted to the right and down) in the pre-dawn sky and is harder to see as the sky will be brighter.. Give it a couple of weeks, as it moves through the skies...
@highwic Second Sun? Ha ha! 'Slight miscalculation!' What a joke! :oP

I had to ask because it is not specified.
You say "counterclockwise from above".
This means it represents a morning waning Moon view.

thats because I hadnt taken into account fully the huge distances Earth and Wormwood have to cover to meet up. Viewing from 1 au is probably max who knows it could be more. day time viewing is a whole new ball game, may well be in June it will be seen

BTW, I can't resist...
Can you explain, highwic, why on other forums you said it would be visible by MAY? Why is your story changing? And I guess we can presume you will simply keep changing it?
Highwic's been to the Nancy Lieder School of Excuses...
