excellent. i've been looking for someone who can actually diy their own fireworks. the chemistry forums are constantly 'bombed out' with idiots with "how to cook high explosive" requests. but display fireworks would be fun for chemists. skylighter was one of the first sites I ever visited, back when it was special that we had a dial up modem and not many other people did.

@lexichronicle2 Try amateurpyro(dot)com (previously APCforum(dot)com). It is a very friendly and experienced community of firework builders. Anyone asking immature or dangerous questions is immediately either given the information they need to get on the right path of safe and respectable fireworks, or they are banned. It is an excellent resource, and you are sure to make some friends.

Hey if I'm making my own fireworks how can I keep it from building static eletricity so it doesn't spark?

@Zim804 Anti static spray is a good start. Also, only work in high humidity.

@BACKSTABBER692 I buy many of my supplies from Skylighter, PyroDirect, eBay, and personal contacts. For some good beginner reading check out my website, grassrootsdiy(dot)com, and amateurpyro(dot)com, as well as the old newsletters in the skylighter archives.
